Crown Estate’s second public exhibition for North East Cambridge

Following the first round of consultation which I wrote about here in June 2025, and following the news about Hartree / the freezing of the proposed water works relocation, Crown Estates are bringing forward their plans on the Cambridge Business Park just south of the A14 Milton Junction

TL/DR? Go to the consultation events on 13 & on the 15 Nov 2025

“Where is it again?”

Above – from G-Maps – it’s the site to the left of the guided busway. The consultation event will be in the building opposite the BBC Cambridgeshire building (with the red balloon), at Byron House off Milton Road here.

Still got questions and issues? Put them to your city councillors via https://www.writetothem.com/

Since the summer they’ve worked on a series of comments made by people who went to the earlier consultation event.

  • Connectivity and active travel
  • Public realm and stewardship
  • Transport
  • Community and recreational spaces
  • Housing
  • Building design
  • Sustainability

I hope they’ve contacted Dr Cleo Valentine to brief their designers on her latest findings on neuroarchitecture and the mental stress and harm that some building designs and facades can have on our mental health. Because the discoveries in neuroarchitecture and in neurodiversity in general should be generating some significant changes and improvements in building design.

There’s also a big question for the GCSPS – Does the North East Cambridge Area Action Plan need refreshing? Or is the problem over funding with the Anglian Water relocation merely a temporary pause?

One for those of you north of the River Cam and/or near the Honey Hill site.
